Order multi-brand tool assemblies; then export job files into your CAM/Simulation software of choice. We work with 20+ software partners and have a custom export option so you can always get your tool data where it’s needed. Let’s get to work!
Here’s the deal.
Lugging tool data into your CAM or ERP is a drag — and not of the ‘click-and-drag’ variety. Between workholding, toolholder, and cutting tools/inserts, the number of files can really add up. Even if you do use a vendor-driven tool selector, you are either pigeonholed into that vendor, or in some cases you are still forced to bolt-on outside solutions. That means going back through the manual and gritty process of retrieving files from the Internet and importing them to your system. It wastes hours of time.
That is one of the biggest cases for MachiningCloud. It’s our development philosophy that machinists and manufacturers benefit from flexibility. Flexibility to use whatever brand is ideal for the job, at the time you need it. So we do our best to offer the widest range of CAM/Simulation solutions where you can export your tool data instantly.
Take a look at this list. We add more every year!
Built-in MachiningCloud Export Partners List
You can see we’ve been busy. Over the years we have built partnerships with:
- NCSimul Solutions
- PTC Partner Advantage
- ToolBoss by Kennametal
- ToolBoss by Widia
- CGTech Vericut
These are only our software partners. We have extensive tool libraries from any brand you could think of, as well. ALL of these vendors are available as you identify your tool assembly. Once you have everything you need, simply hit the export button (outlined in grey below).
Hitting Export takes you to a modal where you select your software target.
From there integration also relies on the vendor, but this part of the process is painless as well. We have provided a few examples below in case you’d like to see what setup needs to happen on the CAM / software side.
Export Tool Assemblies to Mastercam, Zoller, or Esprit
OK, now we’ll show you the details of how this process works for a few well-known CAM and software solutions. These videos average around 2–4 minutes, just to give an idea of how easy tool data management is with MachiningCloud.

Don’t see the software you’re looking for?
We don’t intend this as an exhaustive resource but more as a demo. If you want to understand the process for your particular solution, check out the MachiningCloud Software Partners Youtube Repository for detailed walkthroughs on each vendor.
Now it’s your turn…
We hope you are as excited as we are about MachiningCloud. If you’re interested in trying our web application, then we recommend you jump in and start tooling. It’s completely free. Not freemium. Not free-for-the-first-month. Free forever.
